Sewingshields Farm Hello, we are Vicky and Jamie Murray. Sewingshields farm is on Hadrians wall rearing native breed sheep and cattle in a regenerative farming system.

Also home to Sewingshields Shed, a self service kiosk for walkers on Hadrians wall footpath.

English heritage brought some bit of kit to scan the stone. They were here for around an hour and took lots of scans and photos. We should have the results back in a week or so.
Now onto the Roman Wall Show. It’s going to be a busy weekend.

We had an amazing find a couple of weeks back!
While rebuilding a stone wall that’s been down all of my dad’s life, our waller Jonny found this stone.
We think we can just about make out what’s inscribed on it, but to make sure we have English Heritage and the National Park coming on the 12th of June at 11am to laser scan it.
Feel free to call in and watch the process if your passing.
Any budding Latin experts out there think they know what it says?

What a glorious few days it’s been. Over the moon with how many people have used the Shed. My favourite comment has been “it’s like a mirage coming out of the trees”

It’s been a long road but we’ve finally got there.
Sewingshields Shed is now open.
Really pleased how many hikers have used it over the last few days and it sounds like it’s a great restbite before or after all the ups and downs on Hadrians Wall.
