Southern England Farms

Southern England Farms Discover one of the largest and most successful vegetable farms in England, where quality is at the heart of everything we do.

Our passion for quality sets us apart from many other farms. That’s why we can meet the high standards set by top UK retailers such as Tesco and Sainsbury, which we are extremely proud to supply. We produce crops on around 7000 acres each year, covering a large part of Cornwall, from Lands’ End in the west to Wadebridge in the north of Cornwall to Liskeard in the south east. Because we cover such

a wide area, we can take advantage of local variations to do with rainfall, soil and climate, enabling us to operate year round. This means we can offer fabulous levels of service to our customers and great employment prospects to our staff.

This is a look at our teams harvesting courgettes here in Cornwall. 🌱💚

Getting to this point hasn’t been easy. This season has brought long periods of hot, dry weather, putting huge pressure on crops across the country. While our courgettes have held up well, many other crops are struggling with the effects of the prolonged dry conditions.

To keep crops growing, we’ve had to spend enormous amounts on irrigation—an expense that simply wasn’t budgeted for at the start of the season. It’s a reminder that producing fresh, British-grown vegetables depends not only on the dedication of our teams, but also on adapting to increasingly unpredictable weather.

Hot weather might be great for the beach, but it can put crops under real pressure.

Water is the new gold, and in farming that’s becoming truer every year. 💧 By supplying water when nature can’t, we help our Bellaverde continue to grow, protect crop quality, and ensure a reliable supply of fresh British vegetables throughout the season.

Every drop counts.🌦️

Sunshine, teamwork, and a little healthy competition 🌞🏆

Our summer sports day brought the farm together as teams battled it out for first place 🥇 Plenty of laughs and great spirit all round. This year was extra special as we also celebrated our 30th anniversary, making it a day to remember. We rounded it off the best way with a BBQ, good food, even better company, and a spectacular fireworks display to finish the celebrations in style 🎆✨
