Hi everyone! Golden Nectar is growing and I’m looking for someone friendly, reliable, and proactive to help us with the sale of our organic, extra virgin olive oil, by attending local markets in Sussex mostly on Saturdays.

This is a part-time paid opportunity, ideal for someone who enjoys meeting people, loves good food, and is up for a bit of hustle. We're open to combining an hourly rate with a commission structure to reward initiative and align interests.

MARKET ASSISTANT – GOLDEN NECTAR (PART-TIME)

About the Role

* Help represent Golden Nectar, a premium organic extra virgin olive oil brand, at local farmers' markets and food events
* Pick up and transport stock and equipment (two folding tables and a 3x3 folding gazebo), set up the stall, engage with customers, offer tastings, and handle payments
* Work independently and share the story of a high-quality, sustainable product

Availability

* Mainly Saturdays, from approx. 8:00 am to 2:00 pm (markets usually run 9:00 am to 1:00 pm)
* Weekday markets may also be available depending on your availability and our schedule

Key Responsibilities

* Pick up tables, gazebo, sampling tools, card reader, and stock from our deposit near Cuckfield/Haywards Heath
* Drive to and from the market venue in your own vehicle
* Set up and run the market stall independently
* Offer tastings and talk to customers about our oil
* Process payments with our SumUp card reader
* Return everything after the market and provide feedback if needed

Requirements

* Full UK driving licence and your own car (suitable for carrying tables, gazebo, and boxes of oil)
* Friendly, proactive, and comfortable engaging with customers
* Responsible and reliable, with the ability to work on your own
* Physically able to lift and carry boxes and equipment
* Interest in local food, health, or sustainability is a plus

Pay and Growth Opportunities
