It is fast becoming an annual tradition that one time throughout the grazing season Gavin must launch himself from the house bright and early of a morning in his fluffy purple dressing gown in hot pursuit of some rogue escaped cattle.

This week we had the pleasure of this little interlude to a long morning working in the butchery. We were two hours deep into our shift when Tom the butcher dropped his knife and ran to the window having seen a flash of fluffy orange race past on four legs, quickly followed by a blur of fluffy purple run past on two… 🐂 🏃‍♂️

We were straight out, not only to help herd our group of mums and calves back to the paddock but also to enjoy Gavin swearing profusely in lilac 😅💜

Within ten minutes we had the cattle back in the paddock, a new hotbox on their wire and Gavin was thrilled that I hadn’t picked my phone up in the early morning rush to get out and wrangle cattle back home - I miss the opportunity every year! No photo evidence this time.

Unfortunately for him, Tommy Top Knives had his IPhone in his pocket… 📸 😜

Happy Sunday! Thank you everyone who came this weekend, you cleared us out of beef, pork and chicken! 👏

All new BBQ items tried and tested by the team…so you know they come highly recommended 😜👌

This week we have our classic beef burgers, lamb burgers, tandoori lamb burgers, a variety of sausages to include bangers, salami bangers, hotdogs, pork and apples, pork and garlics.

We have a huge variety of marinaded lamb steaks and chops - huge thanks to South Downs Seasoning Co. for providing the marinades and rubs 🙌

We have pork belly strips, steaks and chops, and plenty of chicken and lamb kebabs.

We also have all of our usual cuts - roasting joints and mince etc ☀️
