There are worse ways to spend a beautifully sunny day! โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ”จ

The girls will certainly be pleased to get a munch on this grazing once itโ€™s all fenced! ๐Ÿ‘

The yearling beef heifers, and the bucket fed calves, have certainly loved stretching their legs today! โ˜€๏ธ

Turnout day for these lucky calves, nothing better than seeing them skip and hop outside after a long winter inside the shed ๐Ÿฎ

Now for some grass munching ๐ŸŒฑ

The first cow of 2026 kicked off the calving for the year today, a lovely, confident heifer calf! ๐ŸŽ‰

Bimini (who didnโ€™t want her photo taken today) went to the Kent Young Farmers Show at the Kent County Show in 2022 and won the Champion Beef Confirmation animal with most potential ๐Ÿ†

Ever since then she has been a part of the beef herd, always producing strong calves, and keeping up her friendly reputation ๐ŸคŽ

My favourite day of the year, and without British farmers it wouldnโ€™t be possible. Eat a pancake, thank a farmer and enjoy your day โ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿฅž๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป

Some very welcomed sunshine by the turned out ewes and lambs today! โ˜€๏ธ

The second photo is of Jenny, one of our favourite Texels! She was unfortunately an orphaned lamb when she was younger, so lived the first few months of her life with our neighbour who bottle fed and looked after her. This does mean now she is still very friendly, loves a photo and is always up for a scratch ๐Ÿ‘

The piggies have the right idea when the weather is like this! ๐ŸŒง๏ธ

These girls love a good tummy scratch ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿท

First lamb of 2026 has made an arrival! ๐Ÿ‘ With a Millennium Bleu being our first mother of the year ๐ŸŽ‰

We lamb our pedigree sheep and commercial Texel & Beltex inside the shed during January/February, then the remainder of the flock lamb outside in April when the weather improves โ˜€๏ธ

This little lamb is pleased to be inside though! โ„๏ธ๐ŸŒจ๏ธ

After waiting for the fog to clear to actually find the sheep this morning! Our Romneys seem very happy with their new grazing ๐ŸŒฑ

Recently we have moved all of our April breeding ewes onto cover crops mixes, which include tasty turnips (as the last photo shows!) ๐Ÿ‘

Busy few Autumnal days on the farm! ๐Ÿ‚ Scanning of the early lambing group, and the pedigree Zwartbles, Kerryโ€™s & Badger Faces (and Debbie the Dartmoor!) ๐Ÿ‘ The cows were also scanned to see what we would be expecting in a few months time ๐Ÿ‚ Meat lamb draw for two local butchers we supply ๐Ÿฅฉ and the sunshine shone over us for it all โ˜€๏ธ
