Sadly, and with devastation, I have to call time on the takeaway. I've tried to keep my head down and keep going, albeit just for breakfasts in this past 5 months.
Many of you will know, I have spent the past 2 plus years caring for mum who has dementia, and when she had to go into a home in March, I reopened the takeaway, in April, for breakfasts only, so I could still visit mum daily in Camborne.
I think our current financial climate right across the UK plays a big part in businesses like mine, not being able to survive, and I totally get it, folk have to tighten their belts, we all do.
And, of course, the inconsistent opening of the Bus Stop, due to caring for mum, will also contribute to the reduced footfall.
I'm still making cakes! There will still be hevva cake in the garage shop, and if you watch this space I hope to be able to offer my homemade cakes to you, possibly delivered locally. All my cakes are made with the simplest and most natural ingredients and I do have a fair range of different types, including vegan friendly ones.
Thankyou to all the folk who have kept on coming in.
When my personal situation changes with mum, which is inevitable, then maybe I can press a big reset button and start again, but in the meantime I will keep in touch on here to see if anyone fancies some good old fashioned home made cakes!
Sarah. ❤️🚌
