Seasonal change, mix up or just pure luck but we are still enjoying the fruits of the summer! Oddly even the tomatoes are still flowering and new broad beans appearing . 🫤

We haven’t gone anywhere , we are just having a little glow up
and new identity .After many months of deliberation we are midst rebranding. This isn’t the finished version but I accidentally confirmed the name change 🙄 and helpful meta won’t let you alter it for 60 days 🥱
We are making the same makes, still growing the lavender and producing the oil but it’s time for a change up .
We closed down our on line presence while we are on pause but will be at Christmas Markets .
The challenges over the past 3 summers of unseasonable heatwaves, this last one In particular, gorgeous as it was , has caused us a few issues so we’re keeping growing and letting nature enjoy the plants but not so much oil has been produced at all. Luckily we’ve had bumper yields prior so still have plenty of our wonderful oil available for makes and for sale.

Sometimes a woodland walk is all you need when things are a little much and this morning that was where I headed.
The sounds of nature are a healer , just sitting among the trees watching and listening helps put your world to right and what a treat today ! If you listen to the video you’ll hear the delightful sounds of Longtails, Firecrest , Great T**s and Goldcrests , joyously filling the air and I tried hard to film them but didn’t manage more that a glimpse of them flitting from branch to branch .
Headed home with a smile on my face I heard a great spotted woodpecker then it swooped down and flew off into the trees. Happy Monday everyone . I hope it made you smile too .

It’s been a while since I’ve made this pot of deliciousness. Bacon Jam .
A special order for Fathers Day .
If you haven’t tried it ( not the store bought versions, they are grim) you are missing out.
Bacony perfection which elevates burgers, cheeseboards or freshly baked Irish Soda Bread though can be eaten straight from the jar with a spoon , I’ve seen this done many times.
