Another comprehensive clean water service completed by the PFS Clean Water Engineers 💧✅

From a full UV system strip-down and clean, including lamp replacement and quartz sleeve maintenance, to refreshing the media vessel with new filtration media and flushing it through—every detail was covered to keep performance at its best 👷‍♂️

We also carried out borehole pump testing and pH checks to ensure everything is running safely and efficiently.

🔧💧 Weekly Inspection Completed at a Holiday Park in Helston! 🌿🏕️
Our engineers carried out a full weekly inspection and testing programme to ensure the wastewater treatment system continues to operate efficiently and compliantly. ✅

📍 Main Pumping Station
✔️ Chamber levels normal
✔️ Both pumps tested successfully
✔️ Chamber condition as expected

📍 Bank Tanks
⚠️ High chamber level identified
🔍 Both pumps found with overload trips
✔️ Pumps tested in hand and auto mode with no faults detected

💧🔧 Another successful system fix by PFS Engineers!

We attended a site where the borehole pump was running briefly and then shutting down, with no reset. After investigation, the issue was likely linked to the tank level sensor and PLC control system. ⚙️

To resolve this, we installed float switch controls and ran new float switch cables. The borehole and mains were topped up, and all cabling was neatly dressed along existing pipework and cable trays for a clean and safe installation. 🧰📏

We also terminated the new cables into the control panels, removed unnecessary existing wiring, and carried out full testing and level setting to ensure smooth operation. ✅

As part of the visit, we also replaced a damaged drive cap on the dechlorination unit, as identified on a previous report. 💧🛠️

Our PFS Service Engineers carried out a full maintenance and inspection on a private water treatment system, including:

🔧 UV system servicing
💡 New UV lamp installation
🧼 Quartz sleeve cleaning
💦 Media replacement and system flushing
🚰 Water testing on raw & treated supply
⚙️ Booster set inspection and electrical testing

During the visit, debris deposits were identified in the holding tank and recommendations were made to improve system performance and prevent future issues caused by dry-running during backwash cycles.

🚚 We recently carried out a service visit for a client in the Cornwall area to help keep their clean water system running safely and efficiently.

During the visit, we serviced the UV system and pre-filter, cleaned the quartz tube, replaced the UV lamp, and changed the filter element. We also fully serviced the iron reduction system by removing old media and refilling it with 1x Mag and 2x SIRM, flushing out any build-up, cleaning the head unit, and replacing the air filter. Water testing was also completed to make sure the system is working properly ✅

We then checked the borehole pump by carrying out electrical tests, testing the system, and lifting the pump for inspection. The system has been showing regular “dry run” errors ⚠️. After investigation, we found the water level is around 3m below ground level (with a total depth of 20m), and there is also a heavy iron build-up in the pump and pipework.

This could mean the pump is getting blocked or the water level drops during busy times of use.🫵

🛠️ We recommend looking at replacing the wet end of the pump and also considering a storage tank to help improve reliability and prevent future dry run issues.
