We’re Afterthought Distillery, a small and dedicated team of enthusiastic (some may say prolific) gin drinkers led by our founder, Doug Walford. Gin has always been our favourite spirit; fascinating history, colourful backstory and a set of flavour ‘rules’ that can be interpreted in hundreds of ways. Which is where we stepped into play. t Gin Lab and distillery in Sussex, we’ve created a collection of gins (a spirited family, if you will) made with inquisitiveness, care and thought, with the discerning gin drinker in mind. And that’s how we came up with our philosophy and name:

GIN + ADDED THOUGHT = AFTERTHOUGHT

WHAT MAKES OUR GINS DISTINCTIVE? We start with the flavours that make gin, gin; carefully sourced botanicals like juniper, coriander and star anise. Then we add some unique additions from around the world to make the gin ‘ours’ – and that’s why you’ll find ingredients like Meadowsweet, Indian sarsaparilla, mint and lavender added to our vapour-infusion distillation, lending their own unique flavours and aromatics to our gin styles. It means you can really taste what make our gins different! Or as we like to say…
