💚🌧️🌱 WHAT A DIFFERENCE! 🌱🌧️💚

What a difference a bit of rain can make..

It’s hard to believe these two photos are of the same farm. After a very hot and dry summer, the fields were looking pretty scorched, but a little rain and some time have worked wonders. 🌱

Now Merrivale Farm is green again, the grass is growing and our happy herd are enjoying being back amongst plenty of fresh, lush pasture. 🐮

Don’t forget our milk hut here is open seven days a week so if you are passing pop in and treat yourself to our organic milk, shakes and range of local produce!

🎂🎉🐮 MERRIMILK IS FIVE TODAY 🐮🎉🎂

We can’t quite believe Merrimilk is five today!

So, to celebrate, we have put the Union Jack on our 1L bottle lids as a little nod to where our milk comes from and a celebration of British farming. 🇬🇧

We are incredibly proud to be organic farmers and to play our small part in British agriculture. 🫶

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us over the past five years, it really does mean the world!

After sharing a few photos from our family wedding recently, we wanted to give a proper shout out to some of the brilliant people and local businesses who helped make the day so special. 🫶

As anyone who’s planned a wedding will know, there are so many people working behind the scenes to bring it all together and we were incredibly lucky with ours!

💒💕 LOVE IS IN THE AIR 💕💒

We’ve had a very special family celebration recently, as Lucy & Gary tied the knot! 💍

It was such a beautiful day, filled with family and friends and
we even gave some of our Merrimilk bottles a little role to play, using them as the vases for the floral decorations.

We loved keeping things local too, the stunning cake was made by our amazing Emily at Emily’s Cakes while Legges | Butcher & Deli took care of the food, bringing together some brilliant local businesses to help make the day so special. 🍰

As you can see from the photos it really was a gorgeous day and we want to do it all over again!

It is with a lump in our throats that we wave farewell to our today.Ruby has been with us for just over a year looking after the Merrimilk babies.

She won’t be a stranger as she’s heading to join the team Belmont Farm and Equine Vets. Look after her for us, you’re very lucky to have her! (P.S. make sure she gets plenty of tidying & organising jobs to stop her getting twitchy 🤣)

Rubes you have been an absolute super star 🌟 we cannot thank you enough for all of your hard work while here at Merrimilk. You even mastered tidying Ben…we thought that was mission impossible 🤷‍♀️

Today we’re celebrating something we’re very proud to be part of British farming 🫶

Farming is about so much more than producing the food on our tables. It’s early mornings, late nights, looking after livestock 365 days a year, caring for the countryside and constantly adapting to whatever the weather decides to throw at us! 😅

With today being day it is a chance to celebrate all of the farmers across the country who work incredibly hard to keep producing British food!

If you can, look for British when you shop, buy local when it’s available and take a moment to think about where your food has come from 🇬🇧

🌱🐮 ORGANIC SEPTEMBER 🐮🌱

Here at Merrimilk we are really proud to farm organically and it’s something that shapes so much of what we do every day from how we care for our cows, to how we manage our fields and look after the land around us. 💚

When you choose organic milk, you’re supporting farming with high animal welfare standards, fewer pesticides, no artificial fertilisers and no routine use of antibiotics.

Organic milk is naturally full of goodness too, including protein, calcium and can contain higher levels of beneficial omega-3 fatty acids. 🥛

So for this Organic September, we just wanted to say a little thank you from us to all of our wonderful customers who fill up a bottle at one of our Merrimilk ‘Milk Huts’.

When choosing Merrimilk, you’re supporting our farm, our happy herd and the way we choose to farm. 🤍🌱
