Frome Valley Vineyard

Frome Valley Vineyard Herefordshire Wine Producer Wine has been produced in Herefordshire since Medieval times. We at Paunton Court are very happy to maintain this tradition.

Our vines are grown on a gentle south facing slope in idyllic English countryside. The grapes are lovingly tended to take full advantage of the best of the sunshine and are picked at the peak of their condition. We produce a range of white wines to suit all tastes from dry to medium sweet. They are light and fruity, and should be drunk slightly chilled. They are ideal as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to fish or white meat.

A few gaps in the vineyard needed filling, so it was time to get some new vines in the ground 🌱

Replacing vines is all part of looking after a vineyard and planning for the future. While it was a hard day's work, there's something incredibly rewarding about planting vines that will hopefully become part of the Frome Valley story for many years to come.

Now we just need a little patience 🤞

A quick vineyard update!

We’ve now got a ramp from the tasting room to the demo vineyard, meaning both areas are now pushchair and wheelchair accessible. The pushchair test has already been completed successfully! 😅

We will say - it is a bit steep, so if needed we can always head round via the lane to the demo vineyard instead, which is also chair accessible.

If you’ve been thinking about booking in for a Tour and Tasting this summer, we’d love to welcome you 🍷

(Please note: there is no wheelchair access to the loo due to the nature of our listed building.)

A very sweet arrival in our winery shop… 🐝

We’re now stocking honey, made by our family friend Henry, who’s just launched his own beekeeping business.

With the hives only five minutes down the road, it doesn’t get much more local than this!

It’s raw, packed with natural goodness, and genuinely so delicious - which probably explains why it’s already flying off the shelves…

Proud to support Henry on this one - and trust us, you won’t be reaching for supermarket honey again! 🍯

The first fresh shoots are through, marking the start of a new growing season in the vineyard. After what’s felt like an extended run of grey skies, we’re cautiously optimistic about the week ahead... the forecast is finally looking on our side 🤞
