Another good show of store lambs with plenty of customers requiring sheep, more seasonal purchasers now in operation with a strong West wales contingent.
Trade remains exceptional with keep seeming to be driving the trade, with the finished sheep slightly less money still strong confidence amongst finishers.
Stronger lambs less plentiful however topped at ยฃ154.50 for Texel x lambs, others to ยฃ154, ยฃ151.50 & ยฃ150, stronger sorts ยฃ136-ยฃ148 with several large bunches in the ยฃ140โs, 61 Texel x lambs to ยฃ150.
Stronger farming lambs from ยฃ128-ยฃ138 with plenty ยฃ132-ยฃ135 for the smarter end, the next cut down from ยฃ122-ยฃ130 with smaller smarter types good to sell. The 2915 mixed lambs averaging ยฃ125 all in.
Medium keep lambs ยฃ110-ยฃ122, plenty either side of ยฃ120, with only a few plainer and funny bred types ยฃ105-ยฃ110. The best longer term lambs ยฃ100-ยฃ107, smaller sorts and Hill x lambs ยฃ85-ยฃ95, with some very small types ยฃ55-ยฃ75.
1449 Ram lambs with more Hill tups now starting to come forward, strong Ram lambs to ยฃ151.50, ยฃ146.50, ยฃ146 x2 & ยฃ145, stronger sorts all ยฃ130-ยฃ140. Farming Ram lambs plentiful with several Mules and Romney x types the better bred Ram lambs all ยฃ120-ยฃ130, a large bunch of 102 Mule Ram lambs to ยฃ132, smaller sorts ยฃ105-ยฃ115, the strongest Welsh and Cheviots ยฃ118-ยฃ128, with smaller longer keep sorts ยฃ80-ยฃ105, with very small types ยฃ65-ยฃ80. The ram lambs averaging ยฃ117.78 throughout.
