Ballingham Court

Ballingham Court Ballingham Court is a mixed farm in the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Henry, Esther and Monty Rudge farm 500 acres in Herefordshire.

They grow apples for Copella apple juice, produce Hereford beef for Waitrose, lambs for the spring market and also grow cereals and organic pears. Esther is the fourth generation of her family to farm at Ballingham Court.

We undersowed our maize to keep a living root in the ground, aid soil health and stop erosion among other benefits. This winter we have grazed it with store lambs, ewes and lambs and now our stabiliser cows and their Hereford cross calves before planting maize again in a few weeks time.
