AMC Back on Form – Good News for Agricultural Borrowers
Long-standing AMC Agent Jeremy Jehan of Brightwells Farms & Land has welcomed what he describes as a “clear return to form” from the Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (AMC).
Having worked with AMC for more than 20 years across Herefordshire and the surrounding counties, Jeremy has seen the lender at its best — and, candidly, acknowledges that the last couple of years have been more challenging.

As agents, we have to be honest about market conditions, and during that time it meant exploring a wider range of funding routes for clients.”

“We’ve seen a real improvement — from quicker, more pragmatic underwriting decisions to clearer policy direction and, importantly, far more competitive pricing. Applications are progressing efficiently and there’s a renewed sense of confidence in the system.”

While some high street banks remain supportive of agriculture and newer specialist lenders have gained ground in recent years, Jeremy’s message is straightforward:
