Bartestree Cider Co. Pure-juice cider and perry, hand-pressed in Bartestree, Herefordshire. In 2013, Dave was honoured by CAMRA as one of their Top Cider Campaigners.

We produce bespoke, small-batch, pure-juice ciders and perries from local Herefordshire fruit, with the miniumum level of intervention that allows the true character of the fruit to shine through. Our speciality is the production of single-varietal ciders and perries, mainly on draught, with a few vintages bottled. Dave Matthews founded the Bartestree Cider Company in September 2013, after moving

to Herefordshire in May of that year with his wife Fiona. He has long been associated with cider and perry, editing CAMRA’s Good Cider Guide in 2000, and founding the Welsh Perry & Cider Society in 2001.
