Sessions at our Reptile Room

This year we are looking to offer organised sessions at our Reptile Room while still offering the chance for you to book the Reptile Room for your private parties and events. We are planning to offer three different set sessions, these will be - Home Education sessions, SEN sessions and Animal Care sessions

Home Education Sessions will be split into two separate age groups, 5-10 and 11-16 to allow the content of the sessions to be focused on the age groups and not be overwhelming for the children. Initially our home education sessions will be once a month, places will be limited per session to ensure the best learning experience. Every month there will be a different topic that follows the curriculum, the children will learn about the topic through hands on learning, work sheets and natural history

SEN Sessions at our Reptile Room are an immersive experience. We cater to a range of different abilities, we can offer smaller group SEN sessions or 1:1 sessions for children that don't respond well in groups. A safe environment where we will take the learning and interaction with the animals at their pace, with sensory toys, lighting and seating.

Animal care sessions will focus on learning about specific animals, their natural lives and husbandry, how we can help these animals to thrive in our care and being able to make enclosures for the animals the children have learnt about. The animals they may learn about will include our snakes, lizards, frogs, tarantulas and other insects, smaller exotic and non-exotic mammals
