We're taking orders again! ** Organic rare breed lamb **
It's that time of year when the Autumn lambs get ready to go to the butcher, and hence we're now taking orders for butchered, labelled and boxed half lambs.
If you've never bought from us before, don't think that you'd need a completely empty freezer to fit a half of lamb in! Yes, it's a lot of meat, but it will easily all fit on a single shelf of an upright freezer... 🙂
The price per kilo is the same as last year, meaning that it will likely be between £75 -£95 per half (but some could be more or less because it all depends on weight, as a guide a box typically weighs 8 -10 Kilos) the boxes can be collected from the farm either fresh or frozen (we can keep it frozen for you for up to a couple of weeks, if you prefer).
Details of when the meat can be collected fresh will be posted shortly.

In response to understandable questions from potential first time customers, further details are as follows.
A boxed half of lamb comprises the following joints:
leg - 2 joints (or 1 whole one if preferred),
shoulder - 2 joints (or 1 whole one if preferred),
chops - typically 11 (chump, loin and cutlet),
flank - 1,
neck - 1,
breast - 1,
and liver and kidney if released by the abattoir.
Everything is supplied vacuum packed and labelled, in a presentation box.
