Suprised to hear from some parts of Europe about flies starting to appear; it’s cold and windy here in UK so ordinarily would not be thinking about flies in February 😳
However, it is a reminder of the old rule that has been used in our industry for the last 50-60 years and that is to start your fly prevention programs at least one growing cycle before you anticipate flies, so crops are fully protected and you start with the lowest background level possible.
Nowadays that typically means 6 weeks, so certainly in the next 2-4 weeks, growers need to start considering their programs for flies with nematodes in the casing and MycroSoap for protecting after filling rooms. 😉
MycroSoap is well proven and working in many different countries. Keeping flies down is KEY to controlling your disease. 🦠
