“Momo” and “Mandu” are the same thing effectively, they are dumplings: flour-and-water dough filled with meat or vegetables, in simple terms .They originated in China and in the past hundreds of years they made their way to most countries in Asia, from Mongolia to Afghanistan, from India to Korea. At the same time they absorb the local elements and changed to many forms and sizes. The Momos served by Momomandu are from a refined family recipe - they are a recreation of my childhood memory and flavours I picked up from my travels. I am planning to extend my momo menu in the coming year.
I am proud to say every single momo at momomandu is hand made from scratch, from flour and water, hand kneaded, shaped and steamed and pan-fried with care. This lengthy process is to make sure each momo has a juicy filling, soft dome with a crispy bottom. Also, due to the nature of this process every single mono is different and unique.
So, just let me know how many momos and what you would like with your momos at least a day before( because some preparation starts 24 hours before). At the moment, we are operating Friday and Saturday 6-8PM. Please preorder the day before.
It is free delivery to Holyhead for orders over £20. For other areas, due to staff shortage, it’s collection only.
