In response to the awful restrictions of last year, ‘Breathe At Goren’ is an outdoor dining experience taking place in a wildflower meadow in Devon - we invite you to relax, unwind, and breathe.
Under the creative direction of Gideon Hitchin (chef/patron of The Giant Club, Devon) and his sister Gabrielle Rabbitts; ‘Breathe’ is a collaborative food project between a handful of the area’s best loved chefs, producers, hosts, and the dedicated team at Goren Farm. The pop-up event will only be held at Goren Farm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings this June.
A snippet of what’s waiting for you this June: the evening starts with a gentle walk through the apple orchard for a welcoming botanical cocktail, where you’ll be surrounded by wildflowers all watched on by the mighty lime tree. Then, you’ll meander through to the barn for dinner as you look out onto stunning views that unfold across the valley from the heart of Goren’s wildflower meadow.
The beautiful rustic surroundings, juxtaposed with the sophisticated contemporary hospitality offered at Breathe, the produce from Goren Farm itself, and the exclusively local produce, all come together to create the perfect antidote to a year-long lockdown.
All of the food preparation will be carried out on site with much of the cooking done gently over local wood and charcoal and using no fossil fuels. Many of the wines and other drinks will be sourced locally - Devon is home to award winning vineyards, cider makers and brewers including the neighbouring Dalwood Vineyard. Many of the cocktails will incorporate herbs and other products from the farm itself.
