SOMETHING HAPPENED YESTERDAY

We only went a bagged a 1⭐️ at The Great Taste Awards 2026 for our Smoked Bacon & Maple Jam 🤩

Judges Comments (no it wasn’t me!)😇

“This glossy dark brown jam has a savoury aroma that shouts of plentiful and good quality bacon. Judges enjoyed the texture and the chew of the bacon pieces, the balance of sweet and salt, the gentle spice and the depth conferred by the well cooked onions and garlic”.

“Dark rich colour with the distinct aroma of a sweet smoked bacon. The texture of the bacon adds bite and releases a sweet savoury flavour which maintains the integrity of the salt smoked bacon with rich dark sweetness to bring the jam like qualities. This has good flavour and would be a great addition to a burger”.

➡️The Great Taste awards is the largest most respected food accreditation with over 15,000 products sent into to be judges from around the world. This year was also my first year of judging (no coincidence! 😉) alongside other judges made up from Chefs, Food writers, producers and industry specialists.
It takes 3 Judges to all agree on a 1,,2 or 3 star then passed onto several more tables of judges who also have to agree for it to be awarded an elusive star ⭐

Blind tasted, all about “The Taste” no labels to sway you with favourite producers just all based on Taste, Taste, Taste.
