Summer pudding my favourite dessert served with cold cream, this one was part of a special birthday buffet made in a loaf tin so easier for serving. Decorated with flowers from the garden so no nasties.

In the summer of 2024 we opened THE WARM HUB at Ampthill Rugby Club, a place for people to meet with a warm welcome and good heating in the winter. Opening every Wednesday from 10am until 2pm, we ask for a £1 donation. There is cake with tea and coffee and for lunch homemade soup and a roll. All are welcome. TODAY marked our first Christmas lunch. It was a really lovey festive gathering. Huge thanks must go to The Club for facilitating the Hub and especially Waitrose Ampthill who have supported this initiative from day one, they provide on a weekly basis ingredients, biscuits and newspapers and every item to allow us to put on such a wonderful Christmas feast from the crackers to the turkey and Christmas pudding,such amazing generosity thats hugely appreciated. Thanks must also go to the helpers that gave of their time today plus Anne Plant who turns up every Wednesday organising everything along with Elaine & the other Anne. One final big thank you to Zoe Birch the community lead at Waitrose simply you’re a star. In fact all the staff are welcoming helpful and supportive. We are a very lucky town to have such a caring group of people to support us.
