Bank Holiday Weekend - Saturday - The Bake Hatch Is Open 🍫🍪🥳

Come rain or shine, the shed is packed, and there is something for everyone!

Fresh bread, pastries, pancakes, cinnamon buns, brownies, blondies, cookies, cookie bars, millionaires, cakes, GF carrot cake, desserts & doggy treats 🍫🍪🍰

We are also at Teckels Animal Sanctuaries summer fete today! 11-4. If you’re local, do pop in and say hi! It’s a fantastic charity and of course you can stop by for cake! 🍰

The shed will be restocked throughout the day as usual. But may be a bit slower so bare with us 🥰

We are open all bank holiday weekend!
From 9am tomorrow 🍫

The shed will be packed full of bakery, cakes, cookies & desserts! 🍪🍫

We are also at summer fete, Saturday and Sunday. 11am - 4pm. If you are heading over, do come say hi!

Today, The Bake Hatch turns 6 months old! 🥹🍫

After unexpectedly finding myself without a job back in February, I sat and thought hard about this idea of a cake shed that I’d had floating around in my head for a while. I decided that after years of baking for other people, it was time to do it for myself, and if I didn’t do it now, when would I?

And that’s how our little yellow shed became The Bake Hatch. 💛

Less than three months later we’d already outgrown it, and along came the bigger shed. More space, a fridge and room for a LOT more than just cake!
Since then we’ve filled it with cakes, brownies, cookies, breads, pastries, desserts and all sorts of bakery treats.

We’ve sent out countless orders too, brownie and cookie boxes, whole cakes, traybakes, cupcakes and plenty more.
AND we’ve been filling our diary with market events to!

It’s been six months of very early mornings, late nights, LOTS of baking, experimenting with new things and constantly thinking about what we can do next. ( so many ideas I can’t wait to get into!)

From the bottom of my heart, me and my family are so incredibly grateful for the support you’ve given The Bake Hatch over these first six months. Every visit, order, recommendation, share, comment and message has helped us get to where we are now.
Thank you so, so much. 🤎

And as for the little yellow shed…
Despite disappearing three months ago, it never actually went into retirement. 👀

It’s just been waiting for its next job.
We’ll tell you more about that very soon. 🍪

I have loads of bread coming. Some is cooling, in the oven and proving!
More sausage rolls are waiting to go in along with the scones, short bread and pastry for banoffee turnovers.
I think I need a bigger oven 🤣
