Today was the day of the dreaded environmental health food product safety visit, I had spent weeks catastrophising the impending assessment, it reminded me of the book by Wodehouse ‘Jeeves and the Impending Doom’. Anyone that knows me personally will know that I have a level of OCD (I’ve been working on it for a long time, and like everything it’s a work in progress).
I was told the other day that my inspector was the stickler at Kirklees so that helped the anxiety no end. In fact, she was lovely and very happy with the new site: “Excellent, no actions required” was the assessment, they don’t give star ratings to breweries (low risk) but she said it was the equivalent of 5 out of 5 stars on the hygiene rating.
She was even kind enough to give me the low down on our youngest’s choice of restaurant for her birthday meal: Huddersfield World Buffet: excellent kitchen conditions and great food. Happy days.
