Today is Back British Farming Day 🚜 🐄

Farming has been part of the Hinchliffe family for generations, so today is a chance to stand alongside farmers and growers across the country and celebrate the people behind British food.

But it’s also an incredibly challenging time for farming. Drought, rising costs and disease are putting real pressure on farms, with some facing difficult decisions about next year’s food production.

The National Farmers’ Union (NFU) is calling on the Government to provide urgent support, and we’re proud to add our voice to the campaign.

A proper warming dinner for the cooler days ahead! 🍂

Our Sausage Casserole is packed with Hinchliffe’s award-winning pork sausages, vegetables, cannellini beans and a rich tomato sauce with smoked paprika and thyme.

Brown the sausages, soften the veg, then let everything gently simmer together until the sauce is rich and thick. Serve with creamy mash, crusty bread or rice for an easy family meal.

We’re giving it another go! ☀️

After the weather had other ideas last time, our Hinchliffe’s Family Fun Day has been rearranged for Sunday 27th September and we’re keeping everything crossed for some sunshine this time!

Join us from midday for a great family day out with:

And entry is completely FREE!

Afternoon Tea at The Rusty Bull 🫖🍰

Make an afternoon of it with our Luxury Afternoon Tea for Two, served from 2pm at The Rusty Bull.

Settle in to a tiered stand filled with delicate sandwiches, savouries and beautifully made sweet treats, served with tea or Dark Woods coffee. You can even add a little sparkle with Prosecco, Nyetimber, a cocktail or Gin & Tonic. 🥂

It also makes a lovely gift for birthdays, anniversaries or simply as a treat for someone special. Gift vouchers for our Afternoon Tea are available to buy, so they can choose a date that suits them.

Afternoon Tea must be booked in advance, with a £10 per person deposit. Just let us know your menu choice when booking.

Sunday calls for roast beef! 🥩

If a proper Sunday roast is on the menu today, pop into our Butchers Counter and pick up a beautiful joint of beef for the centre of the table.

Our Butcher’s Chop offers are still running too, with selected steaks and beef cuts reduced by up to 35%, so it’s a great time to stock up while you’re here.

Add your roasties, Yorkshire puddings and plenty of gravy, and Sunday lunch is sorted!
