Just a reminder to people (although a lovely review) when you review us on Justeat you’re reviewing US and OUR food not your delivery or your driver
Obviously the first negative review this evening would never have affected the driver but would have negatively affected us and our Justeat rating
A LOT of bad reviews tend to be about delivery times, drivers or cancelled orders so let me tell you how it works
When we accept an order we are told to wait for a driver to be allocated , when a driver is found we’re given a cook time (usually 17 minutes) although we tend to wait till it’s around 10 minutes away so our food it fresh and hot, after cooking the food we leave it under our hot pass which is when the trouble starts
At this point the driver can cancel and you have to wait until it allocates another driver, or the original time can go up from 2-3 minutes away to well over 30 in some cases. Sometimes it just pauses on 20 minutes and sits there for 30 minutes plus. The driver can accept the order and say he’s there then last second cancel and you’re waiting to be allocated another driver, I’m sure some drivers just do this for the fun of it
After waiting a long time for the driver they sometimes don’t even turn up which is when customers tend to cancel and blame US, or the driver eventually turns up and also waits to collect other orders near by and drop a few at once so your food arrives cold and yet again WE get the blame
Every time you have a negative experience with Justeat it’s US that unfortunately gets the negative feedback and the negative score which sends us down on the Justeat site meaning less views and less customers
As always if you can we 100% recommend eating in or collecting your own orders and please remember if your food is late, cold or doesn’t arrive I guarantee 99% of the time it’s your driver!
