✨ Final Opening Times 2026 ✨

Due to the recent and forecast weather, we have made the difficult decision to make our last day for the season Saturday 24th October.

We will be open today and tomorrow as normal, and closing at 3pm on Saturday for our end of season party 🎉

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has come into the cafe, or ordered from us this year. It’s always so lovely to see everyone enjoying what must be some of the freshest seafood in the country.

We hope to see you all again next year!

And that’s Crab Shack at Hell Bay Hotel done for another year 🥂

Two very happy fishermen, hopefully lots of happy diners, and a feeling of satisfaction that we can provide local shellfish for everyone to enjoy.

We hope everyone has enjoyed the crab & octopus the boys have caught, and we can’t wait to do it all again next year! 🦀

Island Fish is still open, with fresh Bryher crab and lobster until the end of October - so don’t worry, you can still get your seafood fix!

I think we’ve all just about recovered from the weekend - and what a day it was!

It’s fair to say that low tide is a spectacle to behold, and each year seems to just keep getting bigger. It was so lovely to see so many people both on the sandbar, and at the cafe, even if most of us couldn’t stop to chat!

And a huge shoutout has to go to all staff at Island Fish (especially Amanda!), who put in so many hours of prep in the week beforehand to get everything ready. It really is a team effort 🦀

Today’s the day - Low Tide Festival

We will be on the sandbar with a whole selection of seafood goodies, including Lobster Bacon Burgers, and Crawfish Mac and Cheese for you to enjoy.

We will also have the cafe open all day if that’s more your style.

It’s a very important day on Bryher! Fete day AND Mark’s birthday!

We won’t be open at the cafe today, instead we will be down serving our classics at the fete field, and I’m sure there will be a celebratory birthday drink or two

If you spot everyone’s favourite grumpy fisherman around, make sure you give him a big high five (I promise he’ll love it). We all hope he has a wonderful day, and we’ll try to only bother him with one emergency run to the cafe to pick up more supplies!

Everyone in your life is so lucky to have you, and Island Fish quite frankly would not be able to run without your hard work, determination, and sometimes slightly crazy ideas. Despite your very long hours, stacks of paperwork, and all the curve balls the years have thrown your way, you always remain kind, patient, and a real joy for the team, your family and friends. We are so lucky to have you around ❤️

Due to a family birthday, we will be closing the cafe tomorrow (Tuesday 21st July) to celebrate. We will also not be doing deliveries to Tresco.
