Gardenia Blooms Again!

Although the weekend didn't feel like it, spring is here, and amongst the other blossoms lining the hedgerows, elderflowers are perfuming the air with their signature soft scent, the perfect time for this year's Gardenia to arrive.

Blending russet and bramley cider, with a huge dose of fresh mairac and conference juice, creates the perfect naturally sweet and fresh partner for the floral and aromatic elderflowers to shine through.

Gardenia is available to order this week in 20L bag in box, with cans available from 25/5.

The days are brighter, the evenings are lighter, and it's sparked something within us to blend a fresh batch of this tantalising tongue tingler.

Bright, zippy tartness from the redcurrants, balanced with fresh sweet apple juice, floating on a cloud of smooth, rich cider. Perfect for looking out the pub window at the setting sun, basking in it's settling rays.

PILOT GOES PINK

Every blend of pilot is slightly different, thanks to only using locally sourced apple juice to add sweetness and acidity to the blend, nothing refined and powdered, and when we were offered some stunning Red Love apples, we jumped at the chance.

Not only do these beauties produce a blood red juice when pressed, but their balance of natural sugar and acid is spectacularly on point this year. Blend this with vinous eastern counties cider, and you've got one of the most delicious blends of Pilot we've ever produced.

Plus it's really really pink.

This blend of pilot will be heading out to bars across the country in bag in box and keg over the coming weeks. Drop us a line to be one of the first.

After a triumphant launch at in Edinburgh this past weekend, this brand new winter blend is available to order.

Lozz has absolutely smashed this one out the park. Russet and Bramley cider, and a hefty dose of freshly pressed apple juice are the perfect base for the indulgent flavours of maple syrup, burnt sugar caramel and the heady aromatics of cinnamon and nutmeg.

This indulgent and comforting blend is delicious served straight from the box, or heated for the perfect mulled cider offering on your bar.

We're absolutely loving the Rosetta and Discovery we're getting in from , with the Rosetta especially, pressing a deep ruby red, which barely dulls as we blend it with the dusky pink discovery juice.

As such, you'll be seeing a lot of pink cider and fruity bevs heading out of Ascension HQ over the coming weeks, which might be a surprise at first, but this is all part of using seasonal fruits, and embracing their natural differences.

Aside from the stunning colour, these early varieties traditionally have a higher acid level, however thanks to the hot and dry growing season, we're seeing high volumes of sugar in the pressed juice as well.

All in all, they're being an absolute pleasure to work with, blending our range of ciders, and we can't wait to see what comes from the ferments as well.

Keep an eye out for more updates, and more apple shots throughout the coming season!
