100% Iberico Bellota ham is back in stock! Unusual to most Spanish Iberico producers Arturo Sanchez put their animals out in the Dehesas for a minimum of two seasons where the pigs choose to gorge on acorns. Although the flavour effect of acorns doesn’t accumulate over the years, it does mean that the pigs have had a longer life therefore the meat and fat are much richer. Pop in and try some.
Opening hours for this week as follows. From The Smoke Shed each day.
- Thursday the 11th of June: 10am to 4pm
- Friday the 12th of June: 10am to 4pm
- Saturday the 13th of June: 9am to 3pm
- Sunday the 14th of June: 9am to 12pm
I have the 4-hour cherry wood and the 12-hour whisky oak/hickory wood blend smoked salmons available. As well as wines, cheeses and charcuterie. And, as usual, there will be samples available.
Smoke Shed address: Frampton House, 160 High Street, Hythe CT21 5JR. Just follow the A-board signs. The Smoke Shed is in my back garden, entrance is opposite the bicycle shop and launderette.
