When I was in a relationship last year, he said he’d take me to San Sebastián for my birthday! Well stuff you if you’re stalking my page as I went to Napoli instead 😆 Alla faccia degli stronzi 🔫💪🏻🤣

I haven’t got fully sorted yet since I’ve been back but I had an amazing birthday, big 50!! 🤪 I’ve so much to write from my trip. Weeks of content! Thanks so much Anna for everything.

It was liberation day yesterday here, public holiday so everyone was out pruning their olive groves.

Andrea was at it all day yesterday and today he’s got to collect all the branches and spend the next couple days burning them. He came over last night and we had a discussion how it’s cheaper to buy olive oil without all the labour. It would be a shame to lose the old ways though. Poor guy he looked shattered. Didn’t stop him coming over this morning though to bring us coffee and cornettos.

All across the land you can see the little fires and smoke. Looks so atmospheric. There is a strict window of time for burning.

This afternoon we are going to a party. I have so many videos and footage but no WiFi so I’ll load in time. Need to conserve data.

I always feel so at home in Italy, the people, the lifestyle, especially the pace. I thank my lucky stars to have friends like

At lunch I went to the nearest place and how lucky to find !

Gaynor and her staff make everything. There was so much choice with salads and really fresh. They even make their own coleslaw, jerk chicken, jerk tofu and rice and peas, plus homemade vegetable stews and cakes along with the usual deli sandwiches and bacon butties etc.

It’s a popular place. The lady working with her didn’t want to be in the pic but what a lovely lady, made me a speedy sandwich, as I told her that I didn’t have much time for lunch. The sandwich was packed with chicken tikka and all the different salads and pickles. Delicious and healthy. Why would anyone go to Greggs? I’ll be back.
