It was a grand day out for staff, customers and suppliers at Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Club Links this weekend as our annual golf event took place. Thank you to everyone who came along to enjoy the links and we were blessed with a decent day weather wise. Big thanks to our retired accountant Keith Patience for keeping us right on the scoring as well as the catering and bar staff who did us proud. Pictured is Doug (left) who is our designer from A4 Design and Print Ltd and Brian from Rotary Club of Inverness Culloden who helps organise our local Schools Master Chef competition. PRODUCE WEATHER UPDATE:
To reassure customers, our produce teams in Inverness, Glasgow and Stornoway are working hard to ensure continuity of supply during these challenging times of extreme heat in the UK and Continental Europe.

Drought in many parts of the UK as well as the recently reported wildfires across France and Spain and difficult conditions as far away as northern parts of Africa are putting pressure on availability, quality and prices across some of our fruit and vegetable offering.

A Dutch grower of tomatoes reports crops in ‘survival mode’ because of the warm weather and pepper prices have also shot up due to smaller volumes being harvested there. Major losses and shortages in France of garlic, onions, shallots, leeks, lettuce and carrot are also headlined and reflect a growing trend across Europe.

Despite these challenges our team will continue to work hard to source the best quality at the best prices whilst minimising stress on the produce we handle as much as possible.
