🌪️ Saturday is going like a storm here! 🌪️😂

We’re all getting ready for what is always one of our busiest days of the year , the Saturday before Loch Ness Marathon ! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

There’s such a lovely buzz around Inverness today, with people coming from all over and that wonderful multicultural atmosphere we always love. 🌍❤️

The ovens are working overtime and we’ve got plenty ready for you:

💍🎂 WEDDING CAKES… BUT MAKE IT O’DÉLICE STYLE! 🎂💍

Not your traditional wedding cake… and definitely no fancy wedding decorations! 😄

Our lovely couple wanted to keep things simple, delicious and without all the “this is a wedding cake” chichi, so they chose a selection of our pâtisseries instead. ❤️

✨ The order:

🍓 Fraisier
🍫 Rich Gluten-Free Chocolate Torte
🍋 Lemon Tart
🍐 Pear & Almond Tart
🍯 Salted Caramel & Chocolate Tart

BUT… there was a little plot twist! 😱😂

At 5pm, when the shop closed, nobody had come to collect the wedding cakes! 😳

I started stressing… checked the date… YES, it was definitely the right day! 🤦‍♀️😂

One quick phone call to the couple later… and luckily, within an hour, the groom himself turned up to save the cakes! 🦸‍♂️🎂

Because apparently making cakes isn’t stressful enough… sometimes the cake maker has to become a cake detective too! 🕵️‍♀️😂

Thankfully, all’s well that ends well , the cakes made it to the wedding and the happy couple sent us this lovely message:

💌 “Thank you for the amazing cakes, they were all delicious and our guests really enjoyed them , especially the lemon tart, which disappeared very quickly! And thank you for reminding us to collect the cakes… you saved the day!” ❤️

☀️🔥 SUNNY SUNDAY & IT’S A SCORCHER! 🔥☀️

Well… it looks like everyone had the same idea this morning! 😂🐝

We’ve been buzzing around like busy little bees since opening! 🐝💨 The coffee machine hasn’t had a chance to catch its breath ☕😂 and our outside sitting area by the River Ness has been absolutely full! 🌊☀️

We’ve even run out of seats for some of you lovely people , but honestly, seeing everyone standing outside the shop, enjoying their drinks, treats and the sunshine has created such a lovely Sunday morning atmosphere! 🥰☕🍰
