We have been so busy this last week that i have only realised now that i have not posted for a week!😱

The cakes have been flying out of the door, we have had bookings for large tables with Afternoon Teas and overall we have been busy busy!😁

We are already starting to plan ahead for the Summer holidays from July - with extended hours, a change of menu and adding more Gluten Free & Vegan items (not suitable for coeliacs).

This beautiful Victoria Sponge is both Gluten & Dairy free and every person that has had a slice has said that you would never know the difference from "normal" - this goes to show that if you use great ingredients and take great care in what you are producing, then you can offer items that taste amazing🥰🍰

Did you know that i still offer Birthday Cakes and Outside Catering?👀

This morning i had the pleasure of supplying a cake and buffet food for a Baby Shower organised by a regular customer of mine. She had mentioned when in the Cafe around 2 months ago that she was organising a baby shower and needed some catering (not knowing that i offered large cakes) and from there she gave me full control over the design and the buffet food as she trusted that i would provide something that she would love.

When collecting this morning she was absolutely over the moon seeing the cake for the first time and delighted with the food also. Little reactions like this and knowing that a customers expectations have been met are exactly why i love my job🥰

1 year ago today i got the keys to my wee Cafe🔑

An empty shell, a head full of ideas and then 6 weeks of hard graft to turn it into a functioning Cafe and open on the date i always set.

From scribbling down some drawings and being mad enough to attempt most of it myself including designing not 1 but 2 kitchens - i think i did a not bad job if i do say so myself🥰

What a huge achievement this was for me and something i shall always be hugely proud of.

Almost daily i still receive compliments on how inviting the Cafe is, the colour scheme, the layout and then of course the food & drinks.

Almost 1 year on from opening and it still makes me smile at every compliment i receive and it reminds me what i have built for those customers to come and enjoy.

I couldn't of done it all without the help of a few people, those i will always be extremely grateful for🙏-

George for all the joinery work.
Scott for the painting & decorating.
William for the coffee knowledge & set up.
Friends & family for helping to collect fridges, kitchens, tables & chairs etc and keeping me sane throughout a crazy few months.

The road has been tough at times - but nothing worth having comes easy!

July 15th shall be 1 year since i opened the doors and we shall celebrate then with all of you lovely customers🥰
