Crofting for the Future!

There is a local session coming up based at Dores, so if you are interested or know of someone who might be, feel free to pass on the info, or book!

Well worth joining the SCF as a member (discount on these events). There has been a lot going on regarding legeslation and the future. So glad to have the SCF at these tables and discussions.

News for 2026!

Things have been quiet on here recently but a lot has been going on behind the scenes. December was incredibly busy and part of that was looking at our plans and ideas for 2026.

One of those was to use this site less and if there is news/updates, it will go on the website. So, don’t be alarmed if there are fewer posts, we are still here and doing the things we enjoy.

And the plan for 2026? More info coming soon (on www.birchwoodcroft.scot).

Steak Mince!

That bit of beef that often gets put in the humble corner; but steak mince doesn’t deserve the corner.

One pack of the stuff and you have heaps of options!

Need gluten free burgers for that winter sizzle on the BBQ?

Busy day coming up with visitors so you fancy making lasagna in advance so no cooking on the day?

And the list could go on. If you are not a cook, just remember to make sure you brown the meat rather than just ‘graying’ it. Takes a little bit longer, but the flavour difference is worth it.

Steak Mince: £9/pack.

Still a few beef mince (more fatty, so great for making sausage puff pie). £6/pk

DM to order, local deliveries available, feel free to message to ask any questions (on the meat; I don’t know the answer to random maths questions or why your Great Aunt Lucy likes Formula 1).
