Want to hear a funny story during 2020 - the year of doom and gloom? Who would have thought there could be one....well there is!
Once upon a time there was a single woman who hated all things domesticated, which included cooking, cleaning, hoovering, ironing (I am sure you get the picture here), but one day woke up during COVID and wanted to learn to bake?
Patience wasn't a virtue so she must have received a knock on the head in a dream, to think she would achieve such a fate :-)
First of all she tried Truffles, just like she used to make at school. She distributed to some of her Family and Friends who enjoyed sampling them and even encouraged her to make more, so she did.....
Now her Mum loves tablet, so that was next on her hit list and slowly she took baby steps and realised she enjoys baking along with the challenges it brings and now considers it as a hobby.
Well that woman is ME! Who would have thought it?!
In my portfolio, I can show you some visual examples of my baking....which include Shortbread, Tablet, Swiss Roll, Malteser Chocolate Cake and even a 4 Tier Birthday Cake!
Yes whilst its not perfection, I am proud to say this is all done by my fair hands and each time I bake, I learn more tricks of the trade. Rome wasn't built in a day after all!
I enjoy experimenting and its given me something to occupy my spare time during these crazy times we're living in.
I would now like to broaden my horizons and reach out further afield. Do you like what you see?👀
I am more than aware there are a lot of bakers out there but I want to try this anyway and see where it may end up! You never know - we all have to start somewhere.
