A toast to friends🍻

Our latest collab release with Northern Monk is out now and it's one built on friendships old and new. Like a latter-day Rocky Balboa in brewing... Some journeys are built on dedication, determination and passion and this one's close to all of our hearts here at Burnt MIll. They grow up so fast...

Tomodachi - British Pale Ale - 4.6%

Tomodachi, 'Friends' in Japanese is a collaboration with our long time friends, Northern Monk and a newer friend Suguru. Suguru travelled from Japan to get some experience with us at Burnt Mill before making his way up to Northern Monk and working for them. The beer is a Modern British Pale Ale, combining a heritage Yorkshire malt, Halcyon, for some delicious biscuit undertones with a blend of modern and traditional English hops. Challenger, Ernest, Cascade and Harlequin have been chosen for a gentle resinous background and layers of apricot, lychee and tropical fruits.

Here comes the Sun...

Some pubs feel woven into the landscape, and The Sun Inn in Dedham is one of them. Set among the meadows and river paths of Constable Country, this historic coaching inn pairs heritage charm with thoughtful cooking and a bar that treats great beer with real care.

With an elm bar, open fires, and seven cosy rooms, it’s the perfect place to settle in after a long walk. This might explain why it was recently named the UK’s best pub for a pint and a wander!

Our Helles Lager and Pintle Pale Ale pour here all year round, and they taste even better surrounded by scenery that inspired a painter like John Constable.

Beautiful pub, exceptional food, and Burnt Mill beer flowing... that’s our kind of destination!

Pineapple upfront, fiesta in the finish.🪇🍍

🍍Todos Santos - Pineapple Gose - 4.8%🍍

Drawing from a beer we brewed in our first year with our graphic designer, Josh Smith, Todos Santos is a take on a Mexican-inspired Gose.
Big pineapple aromas come from this beer with a light tartness, which is gradually washed away with a subtle salinity for a refreshing fruited Gose.

This week we are celebrating 9 years of Burnt Mill Brewery and we cannot wait for you to try this year's birthday beer...

🥳🎉NINE ACRE - WEST COAST PALE 5%🎉🥳

For this year's 9th Birthday beer we have decided to keep it light and fresh with a lean and crisp malt profile to reflect the tropical fruits of Strata and Luminosa. We have layered up the dry hopping process with a Double Dry Hop, adding Strata® CGX™ right at the beginning. We then loaded the back end of dry hopping with more Strata® and Luminosa® for bursts of passionfruit, mango lemonade and fresh tropical fruits. Happy Birthday!

We also have our horsebox at the Suffolk Show this week, 27th and 28th May. Make sure you come and say Hi if you're at the show!

Evergreen takes our favourite hops and beer style and creates a delightful Alcohol Free West Coast Pale.

⛅DAPPLE - CITRA & IDAHO TABLE BEER - 2.8%⛅

Dapple is a light and tropical hazy pale at a crushable 2.8%. Soft and gentle mouth feel with plenty of body gives us a base for Citra and Idaho 7's juicy tropical citrus fruits to shine through.This is backed up by a touch of Azacca for some added stone fruits to multiply the fruit melody.

Drifting Vistas - 4.6% Hazy Pale

A soft malt profile, with oats and wheat creates a perfect balance for Nelson Sauvin and Vista hops to tantilise the taste buds. Tropical fruits with a citrus twist are complemented by vinous characteristics of Nelson Sauvin, which lay down some gentle dank notes, bringing the top notes to the forefront.

We love seeing Burnt Mill beer in places that care as much about hospitality as they do about flavour.

This Suffolk gem has Helles Lager and Beyond the Firs pouring permanently, and when our photographer Will visited last week, he was welcomed like an old friend even while they were flying through a busy lunch service!

Beautiful pub, brilliant team, exceptional food, and Burnt Mill beer on tap. That’s one winning combination.

Huge thanks to Jack and the team for being so accodating and no mention of the embarassing bump to the head a certain someone suffered whilst paying too much attention to their pint and not the low beams!! 😂🤕 A final big thankyou to Ben also, thanks for being a cracking beer model!
