Bank Holiday Monday 31st August .Last day of the month and I always think the end of summer .
Children set to go back to school and we are already getting ready for winter here at Hilly Ridge Alpacas.

Today the sun was shining as we set off on our alpaca walk .

We had a new addition to the team today !

One of our young males
Norman was joining the team for his second pre qualification walk and is doing fantastically .
He was given to one of our visitors for a short while on the walk and did really well !
Really proud of this male and he also won Supreme Champion at the Cornish fleece show !

This walk was lovely as it was a birthday celebration for one family and another’s first time at coming and another with a nan bringing her Grandaughter for a day out treat !

Loved the chat and laughs on this walk . Esmee came out with Norman to join the team .

Apollos day off !

Kevin took up position number 2 and did a great job .
Icarius took the back with Simon and Hurricane led the way .

The obstacle course was fun with Kevin shooting around yesterday and winning to today where she said “ Nahhh not today ! “

Norman thought he would give it a go and stepped up and this was only the second time he has tried this since he baby training months ago !

Can you believe it the winner today 🏆.

Sunday 30th August 13.30 alpaca experience with Jo

Hilly Ridge Alpacas

What a nice afternoon as we walked out today .
The boys loving the extra grass and rolling around in the grass and rubbing along the bushes .
Alpaca heaven !

Great fun as we walked along chatting about the alpacas and answering quiz questions and seeing who knows more about alpacas 🦙.

Back at the farm it was time to meet the females and male alpacas and see the baby alpacas before meeting the goats and getting some cuddles in .

The obstacle course was fun with the alpaca competing with enthusiastic people to try to win the two red Rosettes on offer to the winners !

Winner of the day was Apollo who proudly stood up on his podium to have his photo taken with the winners !

Sunday 30th August 2026 10.30 am alpaca experience with Jo

Hilly Ridge Alpacas 🦙.

A special birthday booking today ! Family and friends time together for a special occasions and what could be better than making memories with alpaca and Goats .
The sun was shining this morning and a perfect day to take the alpacas out .

My goodness the bushes were great hairbrushes for the alpacas and it all about images for some of the alpacas who have champion status !

Wildcard just loves to sit in the shrubs and with the grass coming through now with the recent rain they love going out for a stroll .

The goats are so excited to see people they have started to come and meet us !

Naughty goats 🐐 lol .

They are amusing and love visitors and of course the extra feed that comes with seeing people .

Saturday 29th August 10.30 am with Jo and Scott .

What a lovely morning we had with lovely people who made us laugh the whole time .

The alpacas had a great time and wow wee ! Kevin the alpaca 🦙 suprised everyone and came out find a blazing to win the obstacle course !
Apollo not happy 😡!

Quiz was fun and some great photos of baby goat cuddling in the goat pen !

Alpaca meet and Greet with Jo .

Come long and meet the alpacas and goats for this 45 min experiences where you can come and sit with the goats and cuddle a baby goat .

Learn about alpaca fibre and what we do with it . Meet and feed the alpacas and see the alpaca babies while they play .

Sunday 21st June alpaca experience with Jo .

Sorry we didn’t post these photos earlier but my it’s good to look back from a few months ago and see green grass !

The start of the warm weather and the alpacas loved to roll on the grass and sit and watch the day go by !

This was a lovely day with visitors from Australia who were visiting family and making memories .

Lots of laughs and fun on a lovely day .

Look our our baby goats have grown on now !

Wow a few months ago and time passes so quickly .
