The renowned Sausage and Cider Festival is set to make a grand comeback at Colchester's Lower Castle Park on the 15th of July 2023. The location is expected to brim with pulsating live music, a variety of food vendors, and bars stretching over 50 metres.

Due to popular demand, exciting upgrades have been made to the festival this year with the introduction of two additional stages. The main stage will showcase the headline act, TOPLOADER, alongside tribute bands, supporting acts, and unique onstage activities such as speed sausage eating contests and six-round chilli eating competitions.

The second stage introduces a Silent Disco, a vibrant space where attendees can slip on headphones, select their preferred beat, and dance amidst the high-energy crowd. The third and new addition is the Mini Grooverz tent, a dedicated space for young attendees to experience their own pint-sized rave with a mini dance floor.

In the previous year, the festival attracted over 80,000 visitors from all over the UK, and was held in more than 50 locations spanning from Devon to Scotland. Attendees can look forward to a diverse range of unique craft cider flavours, including rhubarb, cherry Bakewell, chocolate, and pineapple, alongside a selection of over 12 sausage flavours.

Additionally, the festival’s larger bars will offer more than 25 cider flavours, as well as a selection of other alcoholic drinks such as prosecco, gin, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.

The live music line-up is impressive, featuring headliner TOPLOADER, and a range of tribute acts, including Kings of Indie Rock, Robbie Williams Tribute, Oasis Tribute, ABBA Tribute, and Queen's Tribute performing Queen’s Greatest Hits. Singer-songwriter Darren Poyzer will also be performing.
