CELEBRATING LEARNING DISABILITY WEEK WITH A BEER WITH MEANING!

We’ve a very special beer being served in our taproom from Thursday this week.

Like all of our small batch beers, 5.1 has been brewed by our team - and is a delicious lager flavoured with Nelson Sauvin hops!

But 5.1 doesn’t just represent the ABV of this beer - it’s also the latest figure for the percentage of adults with learning disabilities in meaningful employment.

We think this figure is ridiculously low and is exactly why we started the brewery.

We’re proud to be able to showcase the talents of our team, who brew, package and sell our beer, and hope that we show other employers the valuable contribution that people with learning disabilities can have in the workplace. .

Dinner tonight was my homemade lentil, black bean & mushroom Cottageless pie with mashed purple sweet potato and butternut squash on top, a few slices of Kinda truffle plant based cheese that doesn’t melt but went crispy which was divine! Served with cabbage steamed, patted dry then fried off in avocado oil with rosemary and followed by my homemade beetroot brownies with Nush almond yogurt 😋
