CELEBRATING LEARNING DISABILITY WEEK WITH A BEER WITH MEANING!

We’ve a very special beer being served in our taproom from Thursday this week.

Like all of our small batch beers, 5.1 has been brewed by our team - and is a delicious lager flavoured with Nelson Sauvin hops!

But 5.1 doesn’t just represent the ABV of this beer - it’s also the latest figure for the percentage of adults with learning disabilities in meaningful employment.

We think this figure is ridiculously low and is exactly why we started the brewery.

We’re proud to be able to showcase the talents of our team, who brew, package and sell our beer, and hope that we show other employers the valuable contribution that people with learning disabilities can have in the workplace. .

Are you passionate about helping people with learning disabilities and autism gain employment skills and paid work? 💜💜💜

We’re looking for a new team member to take on the job of running our taproom and to help us grow our social impact and income.

You’d be working in our taproom bar in the centre of Ivybridge and would help us maintain its popularity with the local community as well as growing our reputation and customer base.

TAPROOM EVENTS THIS WEEK

After last weekend we’re ready for some ☀️☀️☀️☀️ this week so that you can all enjoy our outside space by the river.

And we’ve got great events in store as well.

On Friday we’re holding our second PINTS AND PUSHCHAIRS session in the taproom, which gives you the chance to enjoy some time relaxing between 3-5pm before the evening taproom session at 5-9pm.

Then on Saturday from midday our friends JJ’s are returning - they’ll be dishing up their tasty Jerk Chicken, Lamb Curry and Chakalaka vegetables - this week in the sun!

We’re also open as usual 5-9pm on Thursday - the new Friday!

RIVERS AND MOORLAND FESTIVAL
WE’VE GOT IT COVERED!

We’re proud to have been chosen to contribute to the festival in Ivybridge this weekend and our two best-selling, award-winking beers provide the perfect match!

ERME PALE, named after the River Erme, is a sessionable IPA with hints of citrus and passion fruit and MOORLAND MOSAIC is a slightly stronger, hoppier IPA that celebrates Ivybridge’s position on the edge of Dartmoor.

You can enjoy both in our taproom over the weekend Friday and Saturday hours 10am-10pm) and we’re open a bit later as well to give you even more time to relax next to the river. You can also take bottles home from our well-stocked taproom fridge.

We’ve a very exciting weekend ahead as we take part in the inaugural Rivers and Moorland Festival in Ivybridge.

Our taproom will be open all day on Friday and Saturday and we have extended hours from 10am-10pm on both days. We’ll also be serving coffee from 10am.

On Saturday we have JJ’s African Kitchen serving up their tasty street food from 12.00 and then in the evening we have a treat for you with some blue grass music from Erme Valley Ramblers.

If that wasn’t enough we’ll also be serving beer and soft drink in Victoria Park from 12-5pm.

Please come along and support us and the festival on what should be an amazing weekend!

Our quiz this Wednesday is now full but we’ve spaces left for Wednesday the 17th of June. You can sign up in person in our shop and taproom or by direct messaging us with your name, team name and team size (maximum 5 people).

Timings for this week’s quiz are as usual with our taproom open 6-9.30pm and the quiz kicking off at 7pm.

This Friday we’re opening the taproom early from 3–5pm for a relaxed, family-friendly couple of hours before the evening rush.
