Knoweside Icelandic Sheep

Knoweside Icelandic Sheep We have a small flock of pure and registered Icelandic sheep and a few pure bred Jacobs. We are a few miles north of Jedburgh in the lovely village of Ancrum.

We first started breeding the Knoweside flock in 2010 from 1 Icelandic ewe and 3 Jacob ones.

This is one of the first of our 2026 lambs who is three weeks old now, and today was our last. It was a Jacob ewe and thankfully she just had twins, two lovely ewe lambs. Photo hopefully tomorrow.

The stats are 4 singles, 6 sets of twins and 3 triplets, total 25 lambs.
This breaks down to 15 ewe lambs, 9 pure Icelandic 6 Ice/Jacob. 10 ram lambs 5 pure Icelandic 5 Ice/Jacob.
We are well pleased with the way this year has went all doing well and thriving.

Come on Frank!!
Our ladies have been in residence with their beau for a week now.
We haven't seen frank have any interest in anything other than the rushes, food and hay. he is either up for nocturnal activity or we could have a long lambing period.
This year he has 4 Jacob ewes as well and they have been seen going up to him. Whether its to see what has been brought to the field or to give him the eye I don't know.🤷‍♀️
