Monday evening supper..."on the pass" Scotlands Finest Wild Roe Deer Venison Haunch Steak in a tamari sauce,lemon,ginger and Chinese five spice marinade...

Susie then made this delicious Zoodle salad 🥗 😋 which included spiralled courgette,and carrot 🥕, cherry 🍒 tomatoes 🍅, cashew nuts,fresh coriander ,red pepper 🌶 😋!!

Truly delicious,high in protein and like all wild food pretty good for you!!

Finest Wild Scottish Pheasant Sausages with Chilli 🌶 😋 and Coriander, in this low carb sausage Lasagne,for supper last night,truly superb!!
Plenty of Spinnach,Mushrooms,Onions,Oregano,Chopped tomatoes 🍅,sliced Courgettes,Creme Fraiche.

Delicious wild Scottish Roe Deer Venison 🦌 Loin for supper on Saturday night after a busy Kelso Farmers Market!

Susie seasoned then pan fried for 2 mins on each side and then rested for 2 mins...perfect!

The Roe Loin medallions topped a delicious asparagus salad 🥗 with beetroot and avocado 🥑 accompanied with Horseradish and Creme fraiche dollops!!!

Plus…, this weekend we will also be welcoming the fabulous Wendy Barrie from the Scottish Food Guide along to create some delicious recipes using the wonderful produce available onsite.

AND if all of that wasn’t enough The Good Market Kelso will also be open in the Cross Keys Hotel Kelso & there are lots of fabulous shops, cafes, restaurants & businesses (many of which are local, small, independent businesses) within the town that are ALL OPEN (this month & every day) for you to come along and have a truly brilliant day out…. as well as get all your shopping needs/ treats.

What a wonderful surprise to find out by email that we had made the last 3 in this year's "Game to Eat" awards.

Initially I thought the email may have been a scam 😕 as we had absolutely no idea that we had been nominated or indeed had any product nominated....

So imagine how thrilled 😀 we were to find out that,everything was genuine and that our Game Roulade,each and everyone handmade by our Roulade Queen 👸 that is my wife Susie...(next slide)had been voted into the "Game Product" category,we presume by all the good folk who visit us at Kelso Farmers Market(which is on tomorrow) and those that very kindly buy online from the website..

May we take this opportunity to thank those of you who voted for us very much!it is deeply appreciated!!

It has made us all at Burnside very happy 😊 indeed!!

We wait to hear the final results in March....
