Say hello to Peggy and Pan.

2 weeks ago my lovely big hen Winnie was sitting on eggs due to hatch, unfortunately the eggs hadn't developed properly, which meant she was left without chicks. ๐ฅ
So I decided to hunt her down some baby chicks. And found these beautiful 10 day old wyandotte chicks . Initially all was great, mum and babies were thrilled to meet each other.... But hours later we realised Winnie (being a first time mama) and the chicks (incubator born chicks) didn't really understand what they were meant to do. The chicks started to get distressed and Winnie wanted out of the pen.
So here we are today.... With chicks under a heat lamp living in my house ๐คฃ it won't be forever, when they are around 6 weeks old and fully feathered they can joing the flock in the orchard.
They currently are going through their feather duster stage, half chick fluff and half adult feathers, but growing rapidly everyday!
Keep an eye out for more Peggy and pan posts!
