Oh my I am truly so excited about this!

This summer has been so much fun and I don't want it to end. But I'm also enjoying the autumny feels that come with the slightly darker nights, October seemed like the perfect time to do a party.

We are lucky enough to be creating our own oasis for one night only in the stunning orangery Garthmyl Hall. Collabing with some real beauties, to put on an evening of great food, cocktails & excellent music.

So the most incredible thing about c & k's wedding is the whole menu was wheat, gluten & nut free. Kate suffers with extreme allergies to quite a few things.

Shay created these beautiful wheat-free focaccias cooked on the morning of the wedding for ultimate freshness. The whole wedding had the same and the guests had no idea. All the canapes were wheat-free, even the arancici.

I always advise if we can make a swap to a dish that is allergen free and won't affect the overall taste or texture as it's so much better to be inclusive and not have to worry on the day about things being suitable.

Classic Porchetta - salsa verde, slow roasted tomatoes

This was a bit of a win, we have done Porchetta a few times in the past few years for next day meals but this was a first as a wedding breakfast. It was totally worth the time & love Shay put in to each one. Perfectly captured by Sophie.

Love a tartare, always make extra for my kitchen nibbles.

Where can you get a good tartare out in shropshire / powys? I will travel, might be an obsession.

We went to Café Continental recently and had an exceptional one, but maybe a touch to far for on the regular.

The orangery @ Garthmyl Hall is more than I could ever have dreamed. The aircon in this weather has been an utter godsend. Keeping both guests & staff happy & comfortable in the heat.

We have a menu that I designed fully inspired by the orangery and available to our Garthmyl Couples, so far it's been a big hit and seeing this dish come to life in the setting I imagine it in made me super happy.

This picture being taken in the moment makes me so happy, it's not styled or contrived, it is just shows what we do, well cooked food with loads of love put into the important bits. Sauce for one (smokey, spicy & creamy) and on this dish the potatoes! I spent about two hours turning them and basting in roast garlic butter. I think it was worth it.

This summer is moving so fast I can't keep up. I realized we have been so immersed in weddings and this incredible weather that I haven't found time to share anything.

When my couples take time to send me beautiful messages like this my heart genuinely sings.

To say we are gutted to be missing the opening of the beautiful orangery is an understatement.

However we have some exciting news as Julia has kindly let us put on a little summer do next month. This is open to all and free for our booked 26+27 Garthmyl Couples.

You can expect good tunes, ample canapes & indulgent evening food with Cocktails, wine & beer available from the Garthmyl team. An opportunity to enjoy the stunning new Orangery and feel all the good vibes that come with a party at the hall.
