Well we pulled off our Summer Social Evening by the skin of our teeth 😬
After days of worry over a potential washout you all brought the happiness, good vibes, and sunshine that we needed.

A massive well done once again every single service user. Every single person had a part to play. Whether that was making decorations, learning songs, or helping set the day up.

A HUGE well done to all of our amazing staff. Without your support and commitment to your role at the farm these events wouldn't be as spectacular as they always are!

Thank you so much to Soph and Tom for lending their huge gazebo and helping us set it up at 6am Friday morning! 😴 What a task that was.
To Baz Haworth and Dawn for the disco and karaoke.
Debee’s Bakes again for selling amazing cakes.
And to Jane, Sharon, Sue, and Soph for helping serve the 100+ portions of fish and chips, and tea and coffee. What a task that was.
The extra volunteer help was massively appreciated, especially packing away at the end.
Thanks to everyone that donated to our raffle.
And a special thank you to little Livvy, our 5 year old ice-cream saleswoman. You did fab!

Our final count up at the end of the night has raised an amazing £840!!
This will all be going towards our Christmas ball plans.

Thanks again everyone for your support 🥰

If you have any photos we'd love to see them in the comments section.

SOCIAL EVENING NOTICE

Hi all.
Just to let everyone that has tickets to our social evening tomorrow, we will be making our decision 12 tomorrow on whether we will be going ahead.
The weather doesn't look promising at the moment, but we do have a very large gazebo along with a few other gazebos to keep everyone dry.
The issue will be if its torrential and windy.

If we cancel we will look to rearrange it for in a few weeks time.

We'll keep you posted.

Please pray to the weather gods 🙏

Today we officially opened our new wood workshop in memory of David Starkey who had been one of our amazing service users for many years but unfortunately passed away recently.
Thank you to David's family and Lorne house for joining us today for the opening.
We hope you enjoyed your visit and seeing what David used to love getting up to.

We cant wait to start using our new building!
We have a lot of new projects in the planning stages, so keep a look out on here to see what we're getting up to.

Of course, there was tea and cake involved.. Why not 😉

Finally a big thanks to Josh Bannister
construction and son
The building looks amazing. Highly recommended for any construction work.
Also Nigel Williams electrician for plumbing us all in to the electrics.

**JOB OPPORTUNITY**

Who are we?
We are fun and exciting day service for adults with learning disabilities and autism. Providing fun activities each day, teaching life skills, making new friends, encouraging everyone to try new experiences and gaining confidence.
We're located near Cleobury Mortimer.
We never have a dull day!
Check out our page to see what we get up to.

We currently have a vacancy open for a 1 to 1 support member of staff.

JOB DESCRIPTION
To offer encouragement and support to the person you're working with that day during the activities they choose during their day with us. This could be in Craft, Cooking, Woodwork, Animal care, Music, or any other activity we have on that day.

Everyone is different, so you will learn how each person likes to take part in their chosen activity, what they enjoy, what they don't enjoy, and how far you can push and encourage each person to reach their full potential.
Not every day is smooth sailing, so expect to occasionally have a day that can be a little more challenging (sometimes with behaviour). This does not take away from the enjoyment, fun, and reward factor this position brings.

As well as supporting some of our amazing service users you will be learning how to take part in leading activities of your own. (experience of doing activity work would be great but not a deal breaker), general house keeping, small amounts of paperwork, and will be in charge of making sure our main cabin area is tidy and organised.
Positive behaviour training, LD and autism training, and other training will be provided.

We're looking for someone enthusiastic, willing to learn, reliable, fun and not afraid to act a little silly, and prepared to deal with any challenging moments that may occur.
Experience in a similar setting is a bonus but not necessary.

Work days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9.30am - 3.30pm.
Pro rata holidays
Very competitive wage.

Please send your CV, application letters or questions to [email protected]
Messages regarding this position on Facebook will not be answered.
