Our brand-new leaflets have arrived, and we're looking forward to delivering them across Dudley, Kingswinford, Wordsley, Wall Heath, Stourbridge, Brierley Hill, and surrounding areas over the coming weeks.

🌧️ Rain, rain, and more rain! 🌧️

While the weather might be wet and miserable, our team is out on the road making sure our customers receive a comforting meal right to their table.

There’s nothing better than a full plate of home-cooked meal on a day like today – and whatever the weather, we’re here to help keep our community well-fed, warm, and cared for. Today we have our Roast Turkey dinner with waxy boiled potatoes, peas, carrots, broccoli and gravy, Leek and Bacon with potatoes, cauliflower, carrots, peas and a rich cheese sauce and our Classic Cottage Pie served with four sides of vegetables to keep our residents well.

A big thank you to our dedicated drivers and kitchen team who brave the elements to make it happen every day.

Today, one of our drivers had the honour of paying their respects to a much-loved customer who had been part of our Meals on Wheels family since 2018.

Over the years, we shared not only meals but conversations, puzzle answers, smiles, and friendship with Mrs Taft. Our customers become an important part of our daily lives, and it is always deeply felt when we lose someone who has been with us for so long.

We are grateful to have known ‘Molly’ and her family and to have been a small part of her journey. Our thoughts remain with her family, friends, and everyone whose lives she touched.

Rest in peace. You will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all of us. ❤️

Sometimes it’s the little things that mean the most.

One of our drivers recently received this beautiful thank-you card from the daughter of one of our clients. She wanted to recognize the extra care, kindness, and compassion shown to her mom during meal deliveries.

For many of the people we serve, a meal is only part of what we deliver. A friendly smile, a few minutes of conversation, and knowing someone genuinely cares can make all the difference.

We are incredibly proud of our drivers who go above and beyond every day to bring comfort, connection, and dignity to those we serve.

Today my two amazing kitchen assistants came out with me to meet some of the lovely residents we serve in Kidderminster ❤️

As I’ll be away next week, they’ll be stepping into my shoes and continuing to deliver the same friendly service and familiar faces our customers know and trust. It was so nice introducing them properly and spending time with everyone together today.

One thing I’m really proud of is the team we’ve built — caring, reliable, and always ready to support one another. Having a strong team of 8 drivers and 4 kitchen assistants (including myself) means there are never any gaps in service, and our residents will always be looked after with the same kindness and care 💪🍽️

It also means that, as a business owner, I can take time away when needed — whether that’s for a family event (like my sister in law’s wedding last Friday), a holiday, or even if I’m unwell — knowing our residents are still in the safest hands and receiving the care and support they deserve.

You’re all in very safe hands next week ❤️

✨ Throwback to 2020 — when care, community and resilience mattered more than ever ❤️

Through lockdowns, shortages, uncertainty and long days, we never stopped showing up for our customers. While shelves were empty and routines changed overnight, our team worked tirelessly to make sure local elderly residents still received the meals, support and friendly faces they relied on every single day.

We adapted, expanded, overcame challenge after challenge and continued delivering care when it mattered most.

What started as a commitment to provide meals became so much more during the pandemic — reassurance, consistency, independence and connection for so many people and families.

We’re incredibly proud that throughout it all, we remained dependable, compassionate and community-focused. And today, that same commitment is still at the heart of everything we do.

To all of our customers, families, staff and supporters — thank you for being part of our journey. ❤️

✨ Customer Highlight ✨

This is the lovely Mr Dean, one of our much-loved customers 💛

Every day, alongside his deliveries, we make sure Mr Dean gets his Daily Mirror newspaper (which we think might be more important to him than his meal!) Since his diagnosis of Parkinson’s he finds it difficult to walk to the shop for his daily paper and collect his post from his outdoor postbox so we also bring this in and every now and then we bring along one of his favourite treats — an egg custard tart 😊📰

It’s the little routines that matter. A familiar face at the door, a quick chat, and making sure the small things are taken care of can mean the world 🏡

For us, it’s never just about deliveries. It’s about caring for people, building friendships, and going that extra mile wherever we can.
