More than 2.5 years after having covid I'm still not well enough to resume ironing. But I do my best to support local small businesses, so when a friend offers to help you get out and the local café has just reopened with new owners, it's only right to support their new venture and try it out.

Despite not normally being a bagel fan, that toasted sesame seed bagel with goat's cheese and spinach, accompanied by a side salad and Ballymaloe Foods relish, was delicious!

Thank you to all who have supported Press Down since I started up. Unfortunately I cannot currently accept any loads of ironing or laundry as I have developed long covid and am not physically able to do this at the moment. My hope is that in time I will be able to restart, but for the foreseeable future, unfortunately this is not going to be possible.

For information, I have taken the decision to reduce my availability for ironing services. I will continue to iron for my regulars and may be able to take on occasional small ironing or laundry jobs. However due to an increase in workload, I will be limiting how much I do and my availability will be more limited. I will be continuing to offer a laundry service for loads of standard items, and ironing will be folded or hung using your own hangers, but not covered.

I hope you understand this decision and thank you for your support.

Art Exhibition Launch this Friday at 7:30-8:30pm. This is the artwork of the Tuesday morning art group. The Exhibition will be open at normal opening hours until the 12th Nov.
