A week ago and a cracking couple of days at May Fair. It was our first time taking a run of 80 females and they sold exceptionally well, topping at 420gns with a strong average of 388gns.

Our shearling ewe also had a great day in the show ring, winning the Signet Recorded Class and collecting the Hall Lane Challenge Shield.

Next, we moved onto the rams, our first time taking shearlings, where we came 2nd in the show class before selling at 2000gns.

We’ve also added two new stock sires to the flock: Lot 77 from the Byeways Poll Dorsets and Lot 18 from the Braiseworth Poll Dorsets.

It’s been a pleasure hosting Flo’s Reception class on their school trip to the farm today!

We’ve had a wonderfully busy day feeding lambs, learning about lambing, planting seeds, mixing feed, and helping feed the rams. The children also enjoyed naming and drawing farm items, collecting eggs, and cuddling Tinkerbell the hen. There were smiles all around as they sat in a tractor, explored the crops, watched Peggy the sheepdog in action, created beautiful watercolour paintings of the countryside, and took part in a bug hunt.

With sunshine, curiosity, and so many brilliant questions, it’s been a great day full of new experiences and learning.

With 100% clearance and the chance to connect with both familiar faces and new customers, we couldn’t be happier.
