This week, for Earth Day at Cranswick Convenience Foods, we held a fun team competition to raise awareness about recycling and encourage everyone to be more mindful of waste in the workplace. Alongside the competition, we created and displayed a recycling board for our team to follow, helping everyone understand how to separate waste correctly and encouraging better recycling habits.

The board was designed to be simple, clear, and engaging, reminding us that even small changes in our daily routine can make a big difference for the environment. After the competition, we were happy to announce that we had two winners who showed great effort and enthusiasm throughout. It was a really positive experience that brought the team together and helped us focus on creating a cleaner, greener workplace.

What a great way to celebrate a fantastic audit result! 🍦

At Sutton Fields, we love recognising our wins together, big or small, because that’s what being a team is all about.

To mark the occasion, everyone was treated to ice cream at the start of the week on Monday and Tuesday, a small gesture to say thank you for all the hard work and dedication.

A huge thank you to Wondrous Whippy for coming back and looking after us again, their service is amazing, as always!

Moments like this remind us that we don’t just work together, we celebrate together too… because together, we are Sutton Fields 💚

Whether you’re celebrating now or observing Orthodox Easter this coming weekend, we hope you enjoy a wonderful and festive time with your family and friends.

To embrace the Easter spirit and as a small thank you to our colleagues, our managers have been sharing Easter eggs across all shifts. We’ve also held an Easter card competition for our colleagues’ children, and their fantastic designs have really stood out across the site.

Last week, Gareth, our Engineering Project Manager, together with Eleanor, our Project Engineer, attended the Tranby Careers Workshop to deliver an engaging and insightful session with Year 10 students.

During the workshop, they worked with three groups of students, introducing them to the gate stage lifecycle of a project and emphasising the importance of effective project scoping and developing a project charter. Students were then presented with a scenario and challenged to scope the project themselves, applying the concepts they had just learned.

Following the sessions, we received some excellent feedback from students, many of whom highlighted that they had gained a better understanding of how to structure and plan projects, manage budgets, and approach problem-solving effectively. Students also recognised the value of key transferable skills such as teamwork, communication and organisation, and how these can be applied to their future studies and careers.

Workshops like this play an important role in helping young people understand how engineering and project management operate in real industry settings, particularly within the food sector.

A sincere thank you to Gareth and Eleanor for sharing their expertise and inspiring the next generation.

🤝 Cranswick x Hull FC

We’re delighted to announce our new sponsorship of Hull FC, one of Rugby League’s most inclusive and community‑focused clubs.

Hull FC continue to champion inclusion for every kind of player. Across their 14 teams, more than 250 players are supported through opportunities in youth squads, college teams, the women’s team, wheelchair rugby, and both physical and learning disability sides — the latter being the largest in the country.

Many of our colleagues are long‑standing supporters and have a strong connection to Hull FC. It’s a club that means a great deal to people across our business, which makes this partnership especially meaningful.

We’re proud to be working with such a progressive and successful club, and we’re excited about what we can achieve together in 2026 and beyond.

Making a Difference Together❤️🍽️🌍

We are proud to share that, since last month, we have begun supporting Ladled With Love through regular food donations — a community organisation dedicated to tackling food poverty.

Every two weeks, we provide meat products to help support around 80 people, reflecting our genuine commitment to making a meaningful difference within our local community.

Last Monday, four of our colleagues generously volunteered their time to help distribute food. Their kindness and willingness to give back truly reflect the values we strive to uphold.

We are proud to stand alongside Ladled With Love in supporting those facing hardship, and remain committed to helping build a stronger, more caring community for everyone.
