Less than a fortnight!

Rootstock returns for 2026 on Saturday 20 June! 🌳

Bringing the community together, this festival combines music, arts and crafts stalls and homemade cuisine for a fantastic day out! 🎶

Run by the talented folks over at Rooted in Hull, this is their 5th year running the brilliant annual event, so make sure to join them for the festivities. 📆

Rooted in Sunshine is our women’s group. They meet every Thursday from 10 am for gardening, cooking and crafting. All women are welcome to join us, and all our sessions include a spot of lunch and a chance to chat. Give us a go!

Every Wednesday from 10am, you can come down to Rooted in Hull and help us with our work tending to the plants that feed us and learn about sustaining our planet through homegrown, healthy food. You might even be inspired to start growing your own food one day. It's very rewarding and it's free if you are! It's always great to see new faces at the start of their journey.

Friends! We have some fairly big news!

We’re moving! We are very grateful to our landlord, Humber Galvanising for their help over the last decade of accommodation at our now beautiful riverside site, but they now need their land back, which means…

Rooted in Hull is beginning the process of finding a new site in the city, moving to somewhere just as close to the city as we have always been and allowing us to continue the great work we have been doing in our community.

We grow people and food!

Not sure how long it's been, but it doesn’t seem too long ago when we were lamenting the mileage clocked up by our Martin around the city on our eco powered bike! Well, now he has cycled the equivalent of a round trip to Addis Ababa, a quite ridiculous 5000 miles in the name of growing in the community!

A week in the Rooted sunshine has resulted in an explosion of planting, creativity and togetherness! Here is the aptly named Rooted in Sunshine women’s group creating a weaving that depicts an iconic local delicacy that they say won’t be finished for a few weeks, we’re accepting guesses now but won’t be confirming your answers! All women are welcome to join us on Thursdays from 10 am, it’s free and includes a spot of community lunch around the table.
